My Dear Lovelians and Lifers,
What does it mean to live a full life? Television has done a pretty wonderful job of describing what it is and isn't, but what does that look like for me personally? Jesus said "I came that they may have life and have it to the full"
(ref John 10:10).
While this excites me, I cannot help but think well that's nice, but how? How do I keep busyness at bay while still maintaining a schedule like a normal human being? How do I fall in love with life despite all the negativity in the world?
I am so excited to share my findings with you via virtual letters and sincerely hope my words take a weight off your shoulders (and maybe even make you smile?)
A little about myself, hi, my name is Olivia, and, simply put, I am an artist. When I say this, I don't necessarily mean to draw attention to what I do, per say (though, yes, my hands seem to be constantly busy), but more what I see and how I think.

I am captivated by the beautiful------think wild nature, delicate flowers, goosebump-inducing mountain peaks, rays of light bathing a room just so, and those rare moments of catching unfiltered emotion on a person's face.

I also delight in exploring the mental artistic fields--theology, philosophy, apologetics etc. (don't get me started on the Apocrypha unless you have a few hours to listen to me babble excitedly using fancy words like 'exegesis' and 'synoptic.')

That being said and in answer to this unasked question, no, this blog will not be delving deeply into those fields (in case you were worried), though I can't promise the topics won't ever arise. Think of Dear Old World as a pair of glasses that help you see the world a little more interesting and beautiful, despite the face full of exhaust and ear full of swearing you received this morning as the angry driver exploded past you on your way to work.
So without further ado, welcome to Dear Old World!
